Allied Breaks New Ground
Allied broke ground on our new facility on Thursday, March 30. The ACMT, members of the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, City Councilwoman Becky Haskins and other dignitaries were in attendance.
The new 365,000-square-foot facility will replace our existing rented space and will help accommodate Allied’s growth, as we expect to create an additional 300 jobs over the next several years.
The groundbreaking of our new facility is the result of several years of commitment by the Allied Team to make Allied Electronics the Distributor of Choice in America. Our investment in the facility will allow us to compete and be the Distributor of Choice in our industry in the years to come.
This is the first of three phases that our plans call for over the next 15 years to grow and expand. We expect the new facility, which will be located less than a mile from our current location, to be completed as early as summer 2007.
Congratulations to The Facilities Team , Greg Nickell, George Blais, Alan Bruns and Ian Gilbert for all the hard work behind the scenes to bring us to this point. Also, many thanks to the entire Allied Team for helping us realize our potential. We could not have taken this first step without each of you doing a great job, every day.
